As the Inter Batch Cricket Season dawns, the big question arises in the mind of every person of the University (if not all, at least the 15 men who "FIGHT" it out for a place in the team). The Cricket Team for the batch of 2005 has been famous for its team strategies in the past and have shown great promise, qualifying to the semis each year.
This year the team would be led by Northern Nawabs Vice Captain Adit Pujari. The team this year would also witness few changes. Raghuveer Sarathy is making a comeback to the team. The big glvoes would be worn by Abhay Vohra due to the unavailability of Shaswata Dutta. Rahul Varghese would not be able to take the field this time round due to his knee injury. Rachit Ranjan is also going to make an comeback to the team after missing the last season. The bowling department, led by Rahul Sharma, would comprise of Aneesh Sharma, Satya Prateek, Adit Pujari and Raghuveer.S. The opening pair may also witness a change with 'President' Ashish Arun taking the guard with Ummid Bhutia. The batting would be followed by Pasala, ANimesh, Dilip, Kingshuk...
The team is pumped up for this season and wants 'desperately' emerge as winners this time round. The whole batch is looking forward to them in making the correct moves and hope that they end the year on a high note. The rest of the University is also eager to find that whether this time round the Batch of 2005 can beat Batch of 2004 to the "Best Batch in Sports" Award this year.
The football champions are ready to take the field and beat the hell of their opponents. And yes though they believe this to be a gentleman's game, they have set certain targets, so dear opponents be ready to face some "Sweet Chin Music"
